This shot was taken on the Premchai Wreck  near Khao Lak in the Similan National Reserve of the Andaman Sea in Thailand. Personally, I am not one of these fanatics about wrecks, but this strange looking one-eyed Spiney Porcupine Puffer Fish (Diodon holacanthus) certainly kept me entertained all morningIn fact I found it difficult to leave him after spending three hours on the wreck. It took me a while to realise that the reason he would allow me up closer on his right side was because he was blind of that eyeIt certainly did not affect his ability to socialise as he was constantly with one other Porcupine PufferI swam gently towards his mouth from the ´blind side´and had to shoot fast before he could spot me from the other side and turn..! I used a fisheye lens and Seacam superdome, no strobes. I decided to crop the image to hide his blind eye and enhance his most unusual but stunning appearance
